2017 Top MedSpa Treatments

Medical spas are on the rise, growing 20% per year since 2013, according to the American Med Spa Association (AmSpa). In its 2017 Medical Spa State of the Industry Report, AmSpa noted which medical spa treatments were trending in 2017, as outlined below.

Microblading. Rising to stardom in 2017, this treatment is not going anywhere. According to the AmSpa founder and director Alex R. Thiersch, "Medical Spas enjoy this treatment because it provides and extremely large return-on-investment (ROI)." 

Vaginal Rejuvenation. This is another treatment that became increasingly popular in 2017 that is predicted to remain heavily popular in 2018.

Longer-Lasting Botulinum Toxin Injection. More specifically, daxibotulinumtoxin A is in its final stages of FDA approval, and AMSpa has predicted that it will quickly climb in popularity.

Chemical peels. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) showed that roughly 1.37 million chemical peel procedures were conducted in 2017.

Fillers. This procedure was extremely popular in 2017, having gone up 3% from the previous year according to ASPS, and it is predicted to remain popular in women's procedures according to AmSpa.
