Skin and Cancer Center of Scottsdale Starts New Programs

I'm the Best

The Skin and Cancer Center of Scottsdale (SCCS) developed a skin care and cancer awareness program for schools in the Valley, hoping to educate teen students about the importance of proper skin care, the dangers of unprotected sun exposure and sunburns while delivering information of value and interest to Arizone teens.

“Our first purpose is to educate and empower young people to take care of their skin by using sunscreen as part of their daily grooming regimen,” said Robert J. Casquejo, PA-C and owner of the Skin and Cancer Center of Scottsdale. “But we also want to provide information that students will value so we include a session on proper skin care to help prevent, reduce and treat acne.”

The program offers short to day-long info sessions depending on the school's need, and skin exams are also available to student athletes.

“We offer short skin exams that can be conducted in any setting to help identify and rule out problems with unusual moles, growths or other skin conditions,” said Robert Casquejo.“We work with school administrators, nurses and coaches to arrange a time that is best for the school and the students we’ll be speaking with."
