Lifestyle club The Gents Place has announced that it has signed a six-unit franchise agreement, in an effort to expand in the Houston market. Jeff Stocks, new franchisee, will be opening the first location in the River Oaks neighborhood in fall 2017.
"What appealed to me most about The Gents Place was how they have tapped into this very underserved market—male grooming—a growing and thriving $5 billion-plus industry," said Stock.
The Gents Place combines traditional men grooming services along with popular spa services and treatments. Among some of their spa services that they offer include waxing, manicures, pedicures and massages. In addition, The Gents Place provides hair and shave services.
"The concept is rapidly growing in Texas with locations in Dallas, Frisco and Southlake. We are beyond thrilled to be expanding the brand's presence further throughout the state to include the Houston market," said Ben Davis, founder and president of The Gents Place. "Jeff's business leadership, experience and acumen made him the perfect candidate to develop the market, beginning with these six locations and capitalizing on the growing trend for men's grooming in the area."
The Gents Place expansion plans have an ultimate goal of opening 150 clubs in the next five years with the brand growing beyond the state.
