Methodist Hospitals of Crown Point, Ind., offered cancer survivors, and those currently battling the disease, a day of manicures, massages and more for its Spring Spa Day, reports the Times of Northwest Indiana.
This was the second year the hospital held the free event at Sts. Peter and Paul Macedonian Banquet Hall, where more than 100 women took part. (First held nine years ago in partnership with the Pink Ribbon Society, the day was previously held at the hospital).

Along with the manicures and massages, services offered included chair yoga and reiki therapy, as well as bone density screenings, breast health education, vendor booths and raffles.
Cervical caner survivor Heather Banks of Indianapolis delivered the keynote of the event. Banks, an ambassador for the Cervivor non-profit dedicated to cervical cancer awareness, education and support, spoke on the importance of HPV screenings and vaccinations.
