Sometimes, tragedy can inspire new beginning. Such is the case with a new wellness center coming to Sarasota, Fla., reports the Herald-Tribune.

Owned by Noemi Pareja, Pure Vie is set to open November 2018. Pareja was inspired to open the center—which will offer spa services and yoga—after the untimely death of a 28-year-old friend.

“Something snapped in me. It made me say, ‘Life’s too short to be stuck in this endless cycle when you’re not happy. You know what you need to do, you’re not happy, you need to run a business,’” she told the publication.

Services will include facials, waxing and massages, along with yoga classes. The spa, located in a 1,500 sq. ft. space in the Rosemary District, will be rooted in Ayurveda, an ancient Indian holistic system of medicine. Ayurveda is based on the principle that true health is achieved from a balance between the body, mind, spirit and environment.

Pure Vie will employee nine staffers, including estheticians and massage therapists, and four contract yoga teachers.

Along with services, the spa will offer fair trade, ethically sourced, vegan, organic and gluten free products from brands such as Shankara Naturals and Sorella Apothecary. Clients may purchase yoga memberships at $145, and spa memberships for $99 month.
