Conair Corporation announced the passing of Leandro P. Rizzuto, chairman of the board and co-founder. After battling pancreatic cancer, Rizzuto passed on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, surrounded by his family.
Leandro P. Rizzuto founded Conair with his parents in 1959 and over the last 58 years, the hair appliance and hair care company grew into a multinational corporation across more than 125 countries. Conair's professional products division includes: Rusk, BaBylissPRO, Satin Smooth, One 'n Only and ConairPRO Pet.
According to Ronald T. Diamond, president of Conair Corporation, the company plans to honor Rizzuto in the development of innovative new products using emerging technology to improve businesses and the lives of professional customers worldwide.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our leader,” said Diamond. “Mr. Rizzuto was a man who loved life and people and deeply loved our company. He was our leader, mentor and teacher, encouraging those around him to always strive to do more than we thought we could do, and be greater than we thought we could be.”
