Increase in hispanic women seeking facial plastic surgery

As discovered in a recent survey by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), Hispanic women are venturing more and more into facial plastic surgeon’s offices looking for a tweak.

In fact, 33% of AAFPRS members noticed an increase in Hispanic patients in 2012, accounting for a 12% overall increase since the previous year. Rhinoplasty far and away topped the list of their most requested procedures (65%), with facelifts and blepharoplasty coming in second and third, respectively.

This touches upon another recent trend, which identifies a . The AAFPRS reports a 16% increase in mother-daughter procedures and a 12% increase in sister-sister procedures.
