CVS Adds Skin Care Device to Shelves
Posted: September 17, 2008
CVS/pharmacy will retail OmniLux new-U, an OTC FDA-cleared handheld device for treatment of wrinkles, in-store and online beginning September 19. The LED device works, according to a press release, by boosting the skin’s natural regeneration process via a combination of alternating treatments of infrared and red light therapy that stimulate collagen synthesis.
CVS/pharmacy "beauty advisors" have been trained on the OmniLux new-U and will recommend skin care products to complement the technology. The device will retail for $225.
