The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) and Kline & Company, Inc. announce a new strategic collaboration. It is designed to source and provide detailed, highly accurate, and actionable market intelligence by monitoring transactional sales data from salon chains, independent salons, distributors, and salon/spa software management companies. Named Kline PRO, this revolutionary effort will ultimately provide data that can be used to help identify trends, benchmark performance, evaluate competitive beauty-related sectors, and aid in the decision-making processes for businesses involved in the professional beauty industry. The research and data will also enable PBA to better design educational content for events and webinars.

As a leading and respected market research and consulting organization, Kline will work closely with PBA, its members, and the broader industry to ensure data collection procedures and safeguards are implemented and closely followed to assure anonymity. With a high degree of interest from several major companies within the professional beauty industry, PBA is actively encouraging its members and other parties to join in this timely initiative. Kline's director of consumer products Carrie Mellage notes, "We are thrilled to be in a position to fill the massive data void that has existed in the professional beauty world for years and that our clients and the industry have confidence in our ability to do so. Teaming with PBA will ensure the success of this program and will help make it a useful resource for the entire industry." Kline will be contacting organizations directly in order to provide more details concerning data collection and use.

"PBA is continually working to broaden the scope and accuracy of industry research, which benefits our members and the industry as a whole," said Steven Sleeper, the executive director of Professional Beauty Association. "We will continue to encourage all parties to work with PBA and Kline on this important initiative so that the most accurate data can be collected and used in the decision-making process."

PBA will also have access to additional Kline research and will be the exclusive trade association associated with the service in the professional market space. PBA members will have special "member only" pricing and access to other unique Kline information that will also be contingent on membership.
