It is the week before Christmas, and for many that means panic time. It's easy to get stressed during the holiday season, with an increased influx of clients and a neverending to-do list. Elemis provided the following five tips to tackle your to-do list while keeping your cool.

1. Get up early

People who get up early not only tend to be more productive, but they have also found to be more happy.

2. Establish a ritual

If a task becomes a habit, it is easier to accomplish according to Elemis. It recommends establishing habits such as beginning at a set time, start with a clear workspace, eliminate interruptions and bring a brain-boosting snack.

3. Ditch multitasking

Multitasking slows productivity, according to scientific studies. Concentrate on the task at hand and get it done.

4. Prioritize

"The key to success is to prioritize, prioritize, prioritize," according to Elemis. Decide what is necessary and tackle them in order of importance. Do your most dreaded task first.

5. Cut Yourself Slack

Perfection is rarely achieved. Give yourself a break. Acknowledge your overly self-critical thoughts and just let them go.
