Guinot Institut Paris was one of the sponsors of the 2016 International Skating Union (ISU) World Figure Skating Championships, which took place in Boston on Mar. 28–Apr. 3, 2016.

This annual figure skating competition is a chance for the top global figure skaters to become the next world champion. 172 skaters/couples from 38 ISU Members have been entered for the championships. Following a decision of the ISU Congress in 2012, no preliminary rounds are held. All skaters/couples compete in the short program/short dance and the top 24 single skaters, top 16 Pairs and 20 ice dance couples will proceed to the free skating/free dance. Participants need to have obtained a minimum total element score in the short program and free skating to be eligible for the championships.

Guinot got the chance to witness Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron of its home country, France, be awarded first place in the Ice Dance portion of the competition.
