For its 30th birthday, The Peninsula Hotel New York celebrated in high (price tag) style—with a very expensive facial for its clientele, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The Medical Beauty Research Age-Defying Customized Facial came with a hefty $3,000 price tag and a bevy of claims—among them, being the most results-driven facial on the spa’s menu. The Germany-based Medical Beauty Research utilizes “patented technology that extracts high concentrations of medical-grade ingredients to treat below the surface,” states the publication.

The treatment began with a pore-opening session in a eucalyptus steam room and sauna before relaxation in the Asian tea lounges. Therapy included four specific enhancements, each at 15 minutes:

The Cell-Power Bust Up Concentrate to promote skin elasticity;

The Executive Gel Mask to strengthen and replenish the lipid barrier and smooth the face’s surface structure;

A hyperpigmentation-reliving hand treatment or foot therapy to treat swollen lower limbs; and

The Liquid Surgery Serum for the face and neck, which delivered oxygen for rejuvenation of cell metabolism, relieved wrinkles and plumped and refined the surface

Along with a glowing visage, guests left with a pricy party favor—a 1.7 oz bottle of the Liquid Surgery Serum, worth $1,724.
