A new luxury spa is coming to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport—InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is working on an InterContinental Hotels & Resorts property set to open summer of 2018.

The new hotel will feature a spa among its 291 rooms over 12 stories, alongside two restaurants, business and fitness centers and a ballroom. Natural elements will be incorporated into the design to evoke a sense of the Minnesotan surroundings, including warm woods, local stone and granite and water patterns mimicking the state’s lakes, rivers and waterfalls.

The hotel is in partnership with Graves Hospitality and Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation. The project's concrete foundation was recently completed after breaking ground in October 2016.

Existing IHG hotel spa menus include LED light therapy, progressive series of peels, microcurrent treatments, massages, various facials and aromatherapy.

“Based on our experience, we know that the InterContinental brand is the perfect fit for this high-profile airport location. We are excited to establish a new, signature destination with an ultra-luxury flagship property, which will become the crown jewel of our already exceptional MSP Airport,” said Benjamin Graves, Graves Hospitality president and CEO.
