With over 3,000 boutiques and 85 spas worldwide, L’Occitane opened a new spa at The Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco, California—the first of its kind on the West Coast. Coined Spa L'Occitane by the Bay, the 6,200-square foot retreat mixes the brand's products featuring South of France ingredients with traditional massage therapies.

"Both L'Occitane and The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco have an award-winning history of delivering one-of-a-kind experiences with the ultimate in service." — Jill Carlen, spa director

The spa is staffed with 12 professional therapists who can offer 30 unique services, ranging from aromatherapy massages to anti-aging treatments to jet-lag reviver and tech tension relief.

"We are very pleased to be opening our newest spa at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco," said Maddie Smith, regional managing director of the U.S. "The San Francisco property is the perfect place for L'Occitane to deliver premium spa services with a touch of Provence."

The spa is located on the first floor of The Ritz-Carlton and features scenic portraits that provide the natural beauty of the French countryside to the guest waiting area.

"I am so pleased to lead this project on behalf of L'Occitane," said Jill Carlen, spa director. "Both L'Occitane and The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco have an award-winning history of delivering one-of-a-kind experiences with the ultimate in service."

Coinciding with the launch of the spa, select suites at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco will begin to feature L'Occitane's verbena amenities.
