Valeant Awards Students Overcoming Skin Conditions

Valeant Dermatology has announced the opening of their annual scholarship for dermatology students who have experienced a skin condition and are currently working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree.

To be consider for the scholarship, a student must submit a 500-word essay describing how a dermatologic condition has played a role in their life. In addition, the applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, along with information pertaining to their current school. 

Bill Humphries, executive vice president of dermatology, commenting on the students that apply said, “We applaud their aspirations to attain a higher degree and recognize that beyond the challenging demands of their schooling, they have also had to overcome the difficulties of living with a skin condition."

Applications will be accepted until April 30, 2017, with nine winners being announced on July 10, 2017.
