The new CEO of Face Reality

Face Reality has welcomed David Valenzuela to its team as CEO. Valenzuela is responsible for all aspects of the brand, which strives to reduce the use of prescription drugs in the treatment of acne in the professional market.

Valenzuela previously led global skin care company Cosmedix to a more consumer-centric position as its global vice president. While there, he spearheaded a sales and marketing rebranding effort, put consumers first through specialty retail channels and launched the brand’s global e-commerce training program. Valenzuela also played a hand in developing the brands Dermalogica and Aveda.

Face Reality trains estheticians around the world, and uses a combination of its non-prescription topical products to treat clients’ acne without antibiotics and isotretinoin.
