To keep beauty industry professionals updated on the proposed merger of the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) and the National Cosmetology Association (NCA), the groups have launched a series of online meetings to answer questions and keep members updated.
The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) is proud to announce that a proposed merger between PBA and the National Cosmetology Association (NCA) is in the preliminary planning stages. PBA and NCA will be working diligently together during the review process, which would result in a fourth PBA membership section, to ensure the collective membership of both groups benefit from each association's complementary strengths and resources.
The combining of best-practice education, government advocacy and charitable outreach that would result from the merger is an exciting opportunity that would further both associations' goal of creating a unified voice for the industry, helping facilitate growth throughout all industry sectors.
To address any questions or concerns members or nonmembers have about the merger, PBA and NCA are holding a series of hour-long virtual town hall meetings. The first meeting was held August 19, 2009, and information from that event—including downloads of Q&As and audio files—is available on PBA’s Web site.
