Skin Inc. magazine Celebrates 20 Years

A new year is always a good time for reflecting, and 2008 rings in a very special meaning for Skin Inc. magazine—this year, the magazine celebrates its 20th anniversary.
We’ve grown right alongside the industry, starting as a quarterly publication in 1988, publishing bi-monthly a decade ago, and today, publishing 13 issues, in addition to supplying a twice-monthly electronic e-newsletter, hosting quarterly webinars and producing two industry-leading conferences and expos. And this list will continue to grow.
In honor of this platinum anniversary, several of our 2008 issues will include a special anniversary column that will touch base with some of our industry heroes who have helped blaze the trail for others to follow.
Of course our success would have been limited without the support and input we received from our 2006–2007 editorial advisory board members. On behalf of the Skin Inc. magazine team, I would like to thank the following members for their dedication and support during the past two years: Mary Blackmon, CEO and founder, Spa Addicts, Inc.; Roberta L. Hughes, president and director of operations, Avidere, LLC; Pat Lam, vice principal, Lam School of Advanced Esthetics; Sam Margulies, founder and president, Atmosphere Spa Design; Howard Murad, MD, CEO and founder, Murad, Inc.; Steve Pernetti, executive chef, Cal-a-Vie—The Spa Haven; and Denise Vitiello, spa director, Mandarin Oriental, New York.
