Face & Body Turns 15!

As another successful Face & Body Spa & Healthy Aging Conference and Expo comes to a close, plans already are well under way for next year's festivities. Come celebrate with us in 2007 as we enter our 15th year of trade show success!

Face & Body 2007 will be held Aug. 25–27, 2007, at Moscone South in San Francisco. We have some exciting new things in the works for this must-attend show, including preshow networking events that feature organized tours of San Francisco landmarks; a top-notch keynote speaker to kick off the Conference Program with pizzazz; international speakers to fill you in on the latest trends worldwide; education that is even more advanced—targeted to the seasoned spa owner; and, direct from the stages of the expo floor, Spa Cuisine Live!—featuring some of the nation’s top spa chefs.

Looking back, it’s fascinating to see how much the show has evolved throughout the years, alongside the dramatic growth of the industry as a whole. Face & Body started as a two-day show in Philadelphia with 53 expo booths, 300 attendees and 13 conference speakers, and has developed into a three-day event boasting an exclusive Advanced Education Conference Program featuring 34 speakers, more than 400 booths and more than 8,000 attendees.

“The expo has grown significantly throughout the years. Moving to the Moscone Center has had such a positive impact on our event,” says Sandy Chapin, event manager. “The central location is ideal for attendees and exhibitors. With more exhibit space and meeting rooms, there is plenty of room for continued growth. Attendees will have an opportunity to select products from leading industry suppliers and can go to manufacturers’ educational classes.

“It is incredible to be a part of an event that has had more than 15 years of longevity,” Chapin continues. “I’ve had the opportunity to see tremendous expansion during the past two years, and I look forward to Face & Body’s continued success.”

Skin Inc. magazine publisher Annette Delagrange agrees that trade shows offer an important venue in which spa professionals can network and learn about the latest treatments and trends, and she is excited to be a part of this history in the making. “For the past two years, I have had the distinct delight of hearing attendees and exhibitors share their success stories from Face & Body,” says Delagrange. “Their satisfaction can be attributed to the show’s conference director, Melinda Taschetta-Millane, and its event manager, Sandy Chapin. Their continuing efforts are ensuring even greater benefits for our clients. I look forward to the future growth of this great show.”

America’s Expo in Chicago

Face & Body is not our only show that is enjoying continuing success. America’s Expo for Skin Care & Spa®, co-produced with Cosmetologists Chicago®, will be held Oct. 7–8, 2007. This year will mark a change in venue, as the show moves to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, offering more space for the exhibitors and speakers who you want to meet. Registration will open April 1, 2007, so be sure to mark your calendar in order to take advantage of preshow savings. For continual updates, please visit the show’s Web site, www.AmericasExpo.com.
